Demco SBS Air Force One Second Vehicle Kit Installation - 2018 Ford Expedition

Today on our 2018 Ford Expedition, we're gonna be taking a look at the Second Vehicle Kit for Air Force One Supplemental Braking System, part number SM99209.If you've been flat towing and you have an Air Force One on your motor home and you get a new vehicle or have a second one that you want to tow, our secondary vehicle kit for the Air Force One is gonna prevent you from having to buy the entire kit again. Now the secondary vehicle kit's gonna work just like the original one. We're still gonna hook up to our motor home with an airline and have our breakaway switch in case of an emergency. But we're not gonna have to touch the motor home or install any parts on it.Our kit's gonna come with the operating unit and all the wires, hoses and lines to get it installed on the vehicle. And the way it's gonna operate the brakes on our second vehicle is we're gonna have this actuator clamped onto the brake pedal and it's gonna apply it by pulling the brake pedal forward towards the firewall. Now the nice thing about this is the fact that it is gonna be permanently installed. more

Curt 5th Wheel Round Tube Slider Installation - 2019 Ford F-350 Super Duty- Video

Curt 5th Wheel Round Tube Slider Installation - 2019 Ford F-350 Super Duty

2019 Ford F350 Super Duty here we're going to be taking a look at. I'm going to show you how to install the Curt fifth wheel round tube slider for Ford Super Duty prep package. Part number C16020.This is what our fifth wheel slider looks like when it's installed. What are some of the reasons why you would want a slider One reason is a lot of the trucks nowadays are short bed. I've seen it plenty of times where people will be pulling a fifth wheel but they don't have a slider in a short bed truck and they go to turn a corner and the sided of their cab is damaged or dented because that fifth wheel is close that when they turn it hits it, smashes it in.The slider is going to allow you to move your trailer back so it doesn't hit your cab when you're turning sharp corners. What makes this kit nice is you utilize the factory prep package and it slides right into the pucks. more

Reese Elite Series Underbed Rail Adapter Installation - 2019 Ford F-350 Super Duty

Today in our 2019 Ford F-350 Super Duty you're going to be taking a look at, I'm sure you have it installed, the Reese Elite Series Under Bed Rail Adapter for standard fifth wheel trailer hitches, part number RP-30156.This is where our above bedrail kit looks like when it's installed. What is one of the reasons why we would need one of these Let's say we have an older truck. In our old truck we had an above bed rail kit and we had a fifth wheel hitch. However, we went out and bought a new truck and our new truck is equipped with an under bed kit. Rather than going out and spending that extra money on a new hitch to mount in our factory under bed kit, we can pick up this rail kit, mount it directly to that under bed kit and that gives us an above bed rail kit that's going to allow us to utilize our old fifth wheel hitch. This above bed rail kit will handle 15, 16, and even 20 thousand pound weight capacity fifth wheel hitches. Each wheel is going to have two slots on the end to help accommodate different sized fifth wheel hitches.Your handles are going to lock into place to keep your rails from disconnecting from your bed. more

This kit's going to accommodate most 5th wheel hitches that require above-bed rail kits. This rail kit's going to have a 25,000 pound max tow rating. Roadmaster Automatic Battery Disconnect Installation - 2014 Ford Focus- Video

Roadmaster Automatic Battery Disconnect Installation - 2014 Ford Focus

Speaker 1: Today on our 2014 Ford Focus, we're going to be installing the Roadmaster's automatic battery disconnect, part number RM-766. This battery disconnect kit is going to decrease the time it takes you to get your vehicle into the flat tow position and also minimize the need to get under the hood, pull out your tools, and all that extra work. Normally to tow your Focus, you would need to place it in the tow position and then disconnect the negative battery cable, but with our battery disconnect kit here, this solenoid has a switch that runs to the inside, so we can just place it in that tow position, hit the button, and it will automatically disconnect our battery from the vehicle. This eliminates the need for us to get under here and have to take off the cable manually, which we may require tools that you may or may not have, and it's also just more time consuming so you don't even need to open the hood.We now have our vehicle set into the tow mode position, but as you can see we're still getting some beeping noises, and we still have some computer and other systems activated. This will cause your battery to drain and may also cause some of your computer systems to activate while driving down the road. We can now hit the button that we've positioned right here. more

Well with the flick of a button, you can switch to your other view, which is going to give you a more wide birds eye type of view so you can see more around you and also more of your trailer. Now there is a switch that comes included with your kit, however, we decided to opt ours to install into one of the factory auxiliary switches. Which comes at a problem when we go to tow with a fifth wheel, because we want our hitch to be on the forward side of our rear axle. But that ends up putting our trailer extremely close to our cab. That's why our slider's going to help out. When it comes time to make those tight turns, we can come to this vertical handle here on the side. We'll pull it out, rotate it back, and that'll allow the hitch to slide back a full 12 inches, giving us that clearance to go around the turn. It'll lock into position so we can make that turn without fear of hitting our truck. more

Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit Installation - 2014 Ford Edge

Speaker 1: Today on our 2014 Ford Edge, we'll be having a look at and installing the Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit for Towed Vehicles, part number RM-156-25. This is what a charge line kit looks like installed. Now the reason you may want one of these on your vehicle is, if you're using a portable braking system when you're flat towing your vehicle behind your motorhome, your portable braking system requires a source of power. Sometimes you can just plug into your cigarette lighter or your power outlet on your dash, but every time the pedal is depressed in the vehicle your battery is getting lower and lower and lower on charge.Without this in place, you won't have a way of your battery being recharged with your engine off in the vehicle when it's towed behind the motorhome. With this in place, this uses the constant 12-volt charge line off the seven way 00:00:58 on the back of the motorhome to run power into the circuit breaker here, through this line here, and then out this line back to your battery post on the positive side. Now, the connection is made on the front of our vehicle through our six pole round connector. Now that we've gone over some features of our Roadmaster charge line kit, we'll show you how to get it installed. more
